With a partner, identify topics that are addressed/developed in Passage A and in Passage B.
On Fri (10/18): You will work in collaborative groups to discuss the passages and complete the condensed short story note sheets for each passage. You will have an open notes assessment on Tue (10/22).
Reading and Writer's Notebook Schedule: Mon (9/30): 1/4 through book and Writer's Notebook Entry #3 Mon (10/7): 1/2 through book and Writer's Notebook Entry #4 Mon (10/14): 3/4 through book and Writer's Notebook Entry #5 Revised - Mon (10/28): Finish book and Writer's Notebook Entry #6 Annotate the poem and complete the SOAPStone to the best of your ability. Be prepared to work in cooperative groups on Tuesday (10/8) and Thursday (10/10) to discuss the poem.
Due to the shortened schedule on Friday because of the pep rally, the reading comprehension assessment will be on Tuesday (10/15). You will need your annotated poem and completed SOAPStone for the assessment. |
